Memorial Day

Each year on Memorial Day we go to the cemetery and visit our family graves. We say hello to great grandpa Donohue, and great grandma & grandpa Rountree. We are grateful for our ancestors and our war veterans.

After visiting the grave sites, the mood swings rapidly from reverent to playful. They are kids after all. I remember climbing these same trees when I was a child. I am sure the cemetery's residents get a kick out of happy kids.

We've paid our respects to the deceased. Now it's time to go enjoy being alive.

Where is that? This isn't in Juneau is it? It looks so pretty and open.
Happy Memorial Day.
